NewDad at SWG3 in Glasgow
NewDad played at SWG3 on 20th October in Glasgow, The band announced earlier in the day they were having some travel delays which pushed doors to 8pm. 5-piece Cardinals were the opener for NewDad, I was fortunate enough just to catch the end of their set after a bit of travel delay myself.
At 9:30pm NewDad took to the full TV Studio in SWG3. Even with the later set time the crowd was still buzzing from the start. However halfway through the second song there was some issues which caused the mic’s and guitar to cut out. This was quickly resolved while still playing and when the guitar and mic’s kicked back in actually added to the song well.
This was my first time seeing NewDad and was excited to hear “Blue” live as I don’t think its left my “On Repeat” Spotify playlist for the last 5 months and it didn’t disappoint. Definitely the highlight of the set for me. That much so I ended up buying a cool Scarf from the merch desk on my way out.
