Loyle Carner at Glasgow’s O2 Academy

Night 2 of 3.

I was fortunate enough to catch Loyle Carner’s second show out of three at the O2 Academy in Glasgow. I’ve loved his music for years now and it was great to see him live again.

Rejjie Snow was the support act for these shows. A great Irish rapper who I also seen last November and who I was excited to see perform again. However, the crowd seemed uninterested in Rejjie which was a disappointment to me as it damped my experience on his performance.

Loyle Carner took to stage and the nearly full O2 Acadmy was bouncing, going word for word with Carner through all the songs. Even though it was my second time photographing Loyle this occasion topped it all.

Loyle also touched on how he loved playing in Scotland due to his grandfather being from there and it’s also where his mother grew up, which the crowd loved. He also mentioned that this show was one of his favourite shows he’s performed on the tour and that it would be hard to beat.

This was one of my favourite gigs I’ve photographed and attended this year, I’m already excited for the next time I see him perform live.
